It's been so long since I've felt like this. The chills that you send in me.
Not talking about people, but of my newest book collection --> The Watcher by Brian Freeman
Really long time since I've picked up a book; read the back of the book; flipped a few pages and had hairs standing on my arms. Nothing to do with Kinokuniya's air-conditioning. LOL~ Was getting something at the bookstall, and chanced upon this book under "Bestseller". Picked it up and never put it down (except @ the counter when making payment).
This is the kind of book that I like:
- The title is common but intriguing.
- The plot has a twist to it in a way that you were caught off-tracked.
- The way the author wrote the book - It's like he doesn't have to describe everything in details, just bits and pieces here and there and it's enough to get you hooked.
- The suspense you read and felt and the 'coincidence' you read thinking that 'This has to be the guy' when your guess turned out to be completely wrong.
- You can never guess who's the prep until almost the end of the story.
The saying when we used to write in our essay when we felt fear or something... "Chills went down my spine", never happened. LOL! :P Haahahahas, from so many thriller books I've read, there wasn't any chills down my spine. There were more of "hair standing at the back of my hands" or "goosebumps all over me". Never down the spine. My preference in books differ from people. Told my sis about this feeling I had for the book and she called me crazy. *shrug* Hahahaha, not many really like thrillers, just like I'm not into her preference of books. =)
