Spent the past 3days reading 'Gravity', one of Tess Gerritsen's books(one of her earlier works)... And i was thoroughly enjoying myself on these 3 days. It was a book that I couldnt put down but had to.

Being skilled in the medical area, Tess managed to be VERY detailed in her story, and also, it can be shown in 'Gravity' that she took a great deal of doing researches about Space and Astranauts... At first I wasnt really into the story, because it was just the beginning of the whole book.

But the further I read, the more I became glued to the story. Somewhere around 1/4 of the book I seemed to have an attachment with this book, this story. I couldnt get it out of my head even if I'd put down the book. Wanting to know what's the ending? How did it end? What happened to the main characters?

I was REALLY tempting to skip to the last few pages, but I din do it. Because I know I'll be missing alot of curcial points on how the story was built up. I'd made sure I read every single word, every sentence, every dialogue in this storybook, HOW COULD I WASTE WHAT IVE DONE SO FAR? So I made sure I din miss out a thing...

The ending was really great... Towards the end as the characters realised what they were dealing with, I had goosebumps a few times.... Within that few chapters(2-3). Tears were in my eyes at one point. I pictured myself in that character's shoes and that really hit the 'tears glands'. Somehow I could imagine the pain she was going through...

Really great story, come to think of it, all of Tess' works are great...Looking forward to getting my hands on her latest medical thriller: The Bone Garden.

I was never interested in medical thrillers..I never thought I would be too. But the ironic part is that I currenly own 4 books of Tess which are medical thrillers, and a few others(esp: ''The Surgeon'' , ''TheApprentice'' , ''The Sinner" , ''Body Double''...because of the deceased and killing and autopsy...) which medical plays a part in the story. Right now...I'll be getting the 5th one soon...Very soon.

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

My Favourite Cover Art/My Voted Cover Art/Louis' Favourite Cover Art..... WON THE CONTEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D

The eagle really rocks! Really rules! Really screams the whole 'Peace Revolution!' thing...and boy, love it! From afar... it catches your eyes because of the bold use of colours(black and red and white)... Upfront, once you see it, it's like a picture imprinted in your memory that never goes away.

Louis paints with his music, and this artist of the cover art paints with his imagination and feeling towards 'Peace Revolution!'...

Adds up the 2 together, and you have a great pianist who paints the world bright and lively, with the cover art done by a painter who uses contrasts and bold movement...And this creates a harmonious feeling to the whole CD of 'Peace Revolution!'

Well done! And I'm so glad Louis got what he wished for 'his favourite art being the winner', and I'm glad the eagle won! ^_^ Peace on earth and everywhere else!

Moral of the story... Always, and I mean ALWAYS trust your 1st instinct....
Normally this is the case...where we have a gut feeling(our very 1st instinct) and we wanna do it, thinking that 'this is my decision, that's that'... But then the longer you drag, the mind starts to play tricks on you, making you doubt your 1st instinct.

This happened to me when I was choosing the CD cover art for Louis' "Peace Revolution!" There were a total of i think 12 entries...all were great... Din know where to start, so i viewed all as my avatar walked past them(they were lined up in a row like a art gallery show)...

Once I reached the end of the line, there was one CD Cover Art that was still in my heart and mind, the whole thing just screams out to me... it screams 'PEACE REVOLUTION'...Totally that idea! That cover art was in black and red, in a sort of swirling kind of motion, and when you look closely, you can actually see an eagle(close up on the face, the eye, the beak and the swirling motion are actually the wings)... I noticed that when i went back to it..

Then, i viewed them all again, having this striking cover art as my 1st choice(my 1st gut instinct)... Out of the other cover art, I like another 1-2.... The other one was in light blue and white, which gives me a feeling of 'Peaceful'... And the other one was a picture of a piano keyboard and a dove above it... which also sends out the message of 'Peace'...since doves are symbols of peace.

Thought about it overnight, torn between these 3.... so right before i leave for sch today(Monday)...I went on SL and put my vote..And I saw Louis! ^_^ Anyway, we chatted abit abt the cover arts, and found out that his favourite(I know which one but promised him nt gonna say) was winning the votes... Really glad for him! And he loves my selections, the 'keyboard and dove' and the 'eagle'...

I voted for the white and light blue...then changed my mind when he also agreed that the eagle one was great, and it was authentic(done by a real life artist).. So i went for the eagle...altered my votes and voted for that eagle...

Should hve gone with my very 1st instinct(the eagle).... and what do you know? I still went back to it afterall.... Really glad that Louis really loves all the cover arts, including my 'final few choices'... ^_^

Hope that eagle wins...cos it practically screams ''Peace Revolution!''...and it's an unforgettable piece of art... Great for leaving 1st impression on anybody! ;)

Voice on SL... Way cool! My first try ever... with Thistle... Well, I figured it wouldnt hurt, and man! IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Well...it's pretty cool once she knew I was a lady behind 'Wyatt Carter'.. It was cool... well, i talked more than i figured I would... really great talking to her.

Just exactly like what Thistle said... Long distance call using landline is just so expensive! Imagine that! But with voice on SL, she's in Cali and I'm in SG, and we can talk to each other as if on phone, & it costs NOTHING! And she was right...... really right....

And the best part yet about SL Voice, it's like msn... with avatars, and u can talk and listen to alot of ppl at the same time.. like video conference.. How cool is that? ut I'm gonna cut down to the minimal... I'm pretty comfortable in talking to them... We'll see how... But so far..it's great! I understood Thistle more than ever...the accents weren't as heavy as i thought it would be. It's great! And the best part, she understood what i was saying, and hehes... that's really great.

IT WAS A RIDE OF MY LIFE! A 3HR-LONG RIDE!

IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE GIG, TOTALLY OUT OF THE WORLD!

STREAMED INTO SL FROM RL....FROM NEW YORK(the place i've dream of going someday)!!!!!!!!!!!!! & LOUIS & TERRY R FROM THERE?? HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!

Louis made me a very happy person with his music..even more so with today's gig. He played the keys and did vocals, while Debbie Major did vocals as well. Right across the globe, right at New York's club, Friendly at White Lake(if i'm nt wrong)...

I felt as if I've been sucked into this votex and travel across the continents to New York, hearing the both of them live at the club! How amazing is that? :D The audience at the background can be heard through the streaming, and their applauses and the whistles and all...

Add that to our own applauses and own comments in Second Life... It was totally amazing and fantastic! Both Louis and Debbie made one butt-kicking duo.. Their duo songs were amazing! Debbie singing some songs with Louis doing backup(harmony), and Louis doing some of his own songs and had Debbie singing bacup(harmony)... It was incredible!

3hrs of gig, with 3 15mins breaks.. 3 parts to the whole thing. It was planned to be 6-8pm(Second Life time), which translate to 9-11am(singapore time), which is 9-11pm(new york time)... But since it's like a 'once a lifetime' show, and so Louis extended the whole thing till it was 12pm(12am for those at New York).

Crashed 2times in the beginning, but other than that it was smooth sailing throughout the rest of the show... of course, i did log in and out so i wun crash... Recorded 21 songs in 3hrs! Pretty gd if i may say so myself. ^_^

Let's talk about Debbie Major. It's the 1st time ever I've heard her name and her voice. Lemme say... She has powerful pipes! She did a song, which was sang by Tina Turner(forgot the title, gotta check it up). Anyway, her voice was almost like Tina Turner's. Powerful, strong and clear voice.

And she did another song..RESPECT(she did more than just these 2 songs)... Wow! RESPECT was way powerful and it was incredible.. Blown my mind out with her high voltage powerful lungs and vocals!

Alright..Now let's talk about Louis Landon aka Louis Volare(in SL). It was simply amazing the way his fingers dances across the keyboard, harmonizing with Debbie in the vocals as well as the playing... And I love his 'band-in-a-box' thing...that when he programmed the bass, the drums and everything.so he doesnt have to play those(just play the keys) to let us hear everything.

I love these versions of his songs tonight...

'Stay With Me'(one of his original tunes, written and played by himself) was great wih Debbie singing backup.. It has a different feeling to the usual versions that he did.

Another song would be 'Thy Will Be Done'..this song will be out in his next CD:Peace Revolution as a colo pano version. But, he did the vocalized version, WITH A BEAT! The drums could be heard in the background as he did 'Thy Will Be Done', which was normally done in a slower tempo than today.

Then, another song that was totally different was 'I want to live'..Also another original tunes by Louis Landon himself. It was more uptempo and was slightly different with Debbie as backup(a lil).

I love it when the 2 of them did a duo on the song "Unforgettable"...by Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole.. It was really beautiful :) It really was unforgettable.......

Love this ride of my life... :D and Louis just made me feel as if I'm in NY, listening to the songs and everything, yet I'm in the comfort of my own home. It'l be truly amazing and wonderful if I get to go to NY and hear him live.. That will REALLY put a cherry on top of my sundae(my life), making my world a better place with his music.

Phew! Never knew putting together a CD is so much work... until I get to be part of it...
IT'S TOTALLY COOL AND AMAZING!!!!!! :D
The work of Peace Revolution is on the track! Choo! Choo!

It's like a chance in a lifetime... I probably wun have my own cd, like ever! But helping Louis in putting his cd together s just as gd, and the closest i will ever go in the business of making a cd. Lolz!

We have thousands of ideas and comments..and this and that, and that and this...it's really like school project work, only among people of all ages... Yep...Exactly like that.

Different people with different suggestions and different views of things getting together for the same reason, and working together towards that common goal. And every suggestion we make, we have to consider the big picture, and includes everybdy's point of view...
So far we have 4 different lists of songs..including Louis' own suggestion.

I'm getting there with all his technical terms of going from major to minor, or to relative major/minor, and it's a minor 3rd up/down and stuffs like that... heory hasn't been my strongest(practical is). But I'm getting there...

Working on Louis' suggestion on the song order in 2 different ways:
1. Listen to the songs in his order

2.Playing the different chords on my keys according to his technical terms of explaining his song order(which i might add is more rational than ours...cos we simply just put together w/o really going into depth like he did, thinking about the relative major/minor stuff).

I have trouble just composing tunes for my own songs... and he did more than that on his own!!! There's still a long way for me to go before I can reach his stage.. Or rather, I'll be contented if I can reach HALF of where he is now.. Lolz!
