Not a fan of Sci-Fi. The last time I read a Sci-Fi book was Star Trek when I was young, less than 12 years old, more than 10 years ago. I never picked up another sci-fi book again, nor seen any sci-fi movie...But Star Trek was simply amazing! ^_^ The one and only sci-fi that caught my attention with its trailer, as well as the real deal itself: When the lights are low, the cool breeze [from the air-conditioning] blows. And also for another reason.;)I was amazed by the way the movie was portrayed. I've read reviews, I've seen the trailer and I'm really glad that it lived up to all the reviews that I've read. I'd forgotten about the story that I've read 10 years ago... I only remembered Patrick Stewart was still in Star Trek then, cos his face was on the story book cover page. Long time ago.
The effects of this Sci-Fi movie was really something! Wow! I totally forgot about the thirst and my eyes were glued to the wide movie screen. Never did once did my eyes wander around. I had to keep watching, like the story, the characters, the plot, the effects were all sucking me in. Exhiliarating! It was raining outside so I was shivering in cold, but the cold was managable. It really brought you into that story with the characters! WHOA!1st Sci-Fi movie and I love it! =D I wouldn't mind watching it for the 2nd or even 3rd time. I can't believe I'd say that about a movie that's categorized under 'Sci-Fi', esp when such movies were not on my watchlist: Romance, Comedy, Action. This is another show which I'll be getting the DVD. I only have a few DVDs --> Ironman, Hairspray & Twilight. Can't wait to add Star Trek to that list :)
