Woke up early because I had a plan to go all the way to Raffles for a photo-taking session of myself and then mail my application stuff on the same day... But then finally decided to just settle with the instant express photo-develop way just near my house(with an available pic).

Because of the early rise-and-shine, couldn't sleep no more. Logged into SL, just in time for a live concert at 8am. And boy, I did not regret attending! I love all the songs, they were mostly those that I enjoy listening to over and over and over and over again... ranging from Jim Brickman to Carpenters to ABBA to others... staying in that 70s and 80s time warp.

And one song caught my attention like *snap*! The title of the song is "Simple Things". I've heard her sang this song before (that day was my 2nd time hearing). And I finally figured out the song title.

This song is amazing, because it's totally MY KIND OF MUSIC! And it's about, literally, simple things, in life. It got me thinking.... Sometimes living in Singapore means we're always either brisk walking or jogging or running, never taking a slow walk to slow down our paces. And sometimes we tend to miss the simple things in life.

Quote from the song lyrics, simple things like: "First leaf off the tree, the thunder and the rain, the sun, the moon and the stars, the beating of two hearts"... There are more simple things, and these are only a few of the millions.

I believe that sometimes the simplest of things are the most important ones. Examples: A good laugh with some friends, a tingling in the heart while talking to the person you like/love, the way the clouds drift by, the way the breeze blows etc.
