Finally after serving me for 5-6 years, my 'turtle back' bag finally served it's purpose. The hole at the bottom had been there for several months, even crossed over to the new year with me. LOLZ! It was a great bag, functional, handy, spacious, not girly, in my fav colours and it's totally my kind of bag... Not those sling bags or hand-held ones. I prefer the turtle-back bag for some reason, even if it means I'm gonna be short(which i am :p ). HehehhesBrought a new bag to replace the old one.... Deuter... @ Taka. It's just like my old one, only slightly bigger. Finally my JackJack(my lil skeleton keychain) and my 'J' keychain have a place to hang~ The design is simple and not too intensive or over, just like how i like my things: Simple. Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication ^_^ <-- Good quote! ;)Hope this bag can last as long as the previous one, or even longer, that'll be great.
Here's a tribute to my old and thrown away Shayer bag. *silence* =) A job well done in being my companion since Secondary School all the way till I graduate from Poly and onto College. Now, my college life will be spent with my new Deuter Bag. =)

Boston.... that came up as one of our chat topics in SL while I was working.... My friends were from New England and somehow their convers steered towards Boston. And I cut in my share. The more I hear about the things to see and things to do, I can't wait to skip ahead all the way to June 2010~And they mentioned accents... According to them, most of their accents are like the movie actors and actresses, not too heavy or fast. That I can handle... Accents are like 'with you' since pretty much the day you were born.. the people you're exposed to, how you were being talked to, how you were being taught to speak and when you actually do...all these are like learned behaviours. Wherever you're from, the accents varies. So it's really cool when people can understand one another's speeches and words despite the accents. =)Whew... can't wait for Boston, can't wait for my lecturers.. LOLZ! Really weird I know, but then I always have a 'thing' for Caucasians & Eurasians. ;)
Man... so scared abt tml's lesson... felt nervous, and excited and scared and excited. Did I mention nervous? Lol...... Did some prep, and when I was doing prep, I could really picture what's gonna happen. It's just that normally when I picture, it doesnt really turn out like that. I had tons of exp from that - FPs... Lolz~

Laksa! It's been a LONG time since I've last ate this delicacy, and to be able to taste it once again was simply heavenly. Went to Katong for that famous laksa, yummy! But that was before the Yong Tou Fu a few blocks down the street.YEP~ 2 different food in a meal (Lunch). I was already at the end of the YTF, but after walking a few blocks to that laksa, I couldn't resist that sweet and rich aroma of that food.... Shared a bowl with Dad and Sis, plus 1 rojak and 1 otah. Mmmmmmmmmm......... Delicious! You don't have to eat the whole thing, sometimes it's just to satisfy that kind of cravings, so small portion is more than enough to cover my particular craving for it.Then we headed to Peranakan Museum for a tour. The tour was pretty good, saw alot of things, learnt alot of things. Dad made a comment at the end of the tour: "You can bring your friends here when they visit SG." I was wondering who he referred to as 'they'. Then it struck me. OH! My friends from other countries. LOL, he was totally random on it that it caught me completely off-guard. Sure, I'll definately bring them here, if they ever visit SG. I'll be their personal tour guide. ROFL~Not a bad Sunday, just got really sleepy at the end of everything....

Whew! My 400th post! Let's post something really fun~Did this online personality test.. Usually I don't buy this stuff, normally just check it out for fun, a lil voice in my head will actually take it into account (not totally). It's rather accurate... Not 100%, but I can say it's about..... 75-80%? At least in my case it is.Not a bad test, I think I did it before, really forgotten when and where. Anyway, it was quite nice to do something like this when you're bored, check out stuffs like this. Hm.... I'm thinking tarot card readings... in Second Life~ Hahahahs, gotta ask Liz abt that. LOLZ! Not a believer in this stuff, but sometimes it's good to know, even as a general info or whatever, sometimes there are some truth beneath it all. But of course, don't depend too much on it.Went online SL as early as I could, but still missed my friend. Hm, well, time difference, and also RL.. Sometimes can't help it. LOL! But it's not as if we're dating or what, just casual chats. Really great and blessed to have firneds on SL. Normally our friends are people around us, about the same age, most of the times same gender, same school, same neighbourhood etc. But I'm blessed to have friends whom I can really talk for hours and relate to well across the oceans, where we're different in time, gender, age, school, background, interests(in some areas). Yet Second Life has brought us together. Isn't that wonderful? Can't remember the last time I sang praises to how fortunate I am. Well... here they are. I really am lucky.**FYI, did a lil quiz and there was this question: "How you feel about life?". And the answer to that was actually a song title that I've wrote. Which was the song "Lucky" by Jason Mraz featuring Colbie Caillat.** ^_^Can't say I disagree on that, because that is how I feel about my life, at least one of the many emotions! ;)

Had a very traditonal European style lunch.... America's favourite food: Hamburger. Of course, it's a little different....Specially made a trip down to Cold Storage just to get the ingredients: Minced beef, parsley, potatoes, mixed garden veg salad, burger buns and lemon. Was worthed it though. And I prep the lunch while listening to my music and also in a very bright kitchen. Dang, should have always on the lights, even in the afternoon. The lights really make you look at the kitchen in a new light and with different emotions when prep your food.It was so zen for me to prepare my own lunch, in my own pace, knowing what to add and how to season and how to cook... Mmmmmm my own oasis in my own house ^_^ *Ommmmmmm*It was yummy.... I did my version of the hamburger, adapted Jamie Oliver's way of prep a salad(EVOO & Lemon juice), and also adapted roast potatoes recipes.... Combined everything together, plus half a glass of OJ... Mmmmmmmm =)Tadah!!! Check our my lunch for today~ ^_^

I don't get it... Usually I find that it's a wonder that people of different ethnic groups, sex, personalities, background, languages, age can come together is a wonderful thing. There shouldn't be any insults or criticism, especially on SL. Sure, when there're people involved, shooting daggers is unavoidable, but does it have to end on a bad note? :(I've always thought that we should at least make an effort in making the people around us feel like they are welcomed and belonged and cared for, especially on a game like SL where we depend very much on our avatars and the way we speak to close up the gaps between people(across the globe, in diff timezones, diff age and diff gender). And that SL and RL should be kept as 2 separate things, and not mixed up into 1.Haiz.. I'm seriously confused now. Is that so hard to not mix up the reality world and the virtual world? Well, it is. But the least we can do about it is at least end off a conflict with a subtle fullstop instead of still leaving anger hanging in the atmosphere.I'm gonna miss Elina so much :( Something she said made me thought: If people from the same country (different parts) can fall out like that because one party became too controlling and somehow there's criticism, biasness and judgement... Will that happen when 2 people are from different parts of the world?Maybe NE isn't for everyone to stay that long... But I've made a wonderful friend whom I'm gonna keep in touch with =) Well... to really look on the bright side out of this, I had made a wonderful friend.

I created a new avatar for SL... That resemblance the real me. Though I try to keep it close to SL as well as closing to RL. I still keep the hair length and colour, and the fashion sense (top and jeans, occasional dresses and skirts). For some reason, I ADORE shopping and wearing skirts in SL.. The flowing scripts of a dress and skirt when I walk or turn, it's really quite fun watching. So's the hair movement! Shopping is easy on SL.... Because I can see the final product already, even if they're not on me (cos of the snapshots of the clothes). It's so cool when I added my old friends in my new av, couldn't help but smile while thinking about their reactions behind their pc screens when they realized the truth. It was so fun! And seeing them in a new light was great... new impressions and new found curiosity. :pAnd another different thing... The old av is more quiet, while the new one is much more vibrant and talkative. ^_^

Saturday was FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!!!!!Jeanius gathering was held at Holland, and it was a blast... We had games, and food, and Jeanette was around! She joined in the games (She played with all 5 teams in the 1st game-Pictionary). Our group won Pictionary!!! Kudos to the 'KGs'.Lol! Funny story, we were fretting over what to call ourselves, and then there was this mentioned Korean Ginseng for the losers. Hello? Ginseng! So we decided to call ourselves the KGs, acronyms for Korean Ginseng, cos we were all joking around saying "wah, I wan to drink, let's lose!" HAAHHAHAHHA.Of course I did drink, not because we lost, but cos I really wanna try it. It's not too bad actually... After dilution, it's still quite bitter but the after taste was actually sweet... Drank one cup of it. Good for health as well!It was really fun hanging out with other Jeaniuses, those that I already knew and those that I've never met before. And it was so cool guessing alongside with Jeanette! She's not a bad artist, we could all guess what she drew during the Pictionary Game. ^_^I couldn't ask for a better way to spend my Saturday afternoon with. The committee did a wonderful job and the whole thing was well organized. =) AWESOME LOVE JEANIUSES AND TO OUR PRINCESS, JEANETTE!!!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
