We went on our separate ways tonight... Grams, 3rd Aunt, 3rd Uncle, Yi Hong and Yi Jun went to Sakura @ Glassroot club, while my fam and I went to Orchid Ville. None of us were in the mood for dinner. They didn't have a long dinner, my cuz didn't eat much w/o us. And for us? Without them the dinner was rushed and not much fun. The dinner was abt only an hr(for bth families). Normally it would last for at least 2hrs if we were spending together... There was an episode at Sakura with them, and we ate for 2+hrs. That time was incredibly spent and enjoyable in every single way.I still think Saturdays are better spent when I spend with them - 2 families together under the same roof. No matter where we're dining, at home or outside. I thought only I had a terrible time. Okay, so "terrible" is too strong a word, but I wouldn't use "enjoyable" to describe either. I knew the other side from my Aunt. Talking with her after dinner was quite a comfort. They're just like a habit. I can't imagine my future without having dinner with them, or simply just spending time together: going to movies, going for dinner, going for outing or just chatting over coffee & cakes. Can't wait to see them next week. It's a blessing to be able to have families that really click like friends. I'm thinking cooking next week... cos one sch starts, I wouldn't have the time to fix a meal for our family gathering on Saturdays when we gather at Grams' house.
