Yesterday had a small gathering with Grams... however short it was I don't mind. Cos this week I got to spend with my aunt and her family. And like I've said before, the week when I didn't spend with them was really no fun. Then tonight we had a longer gathering... at grams house. Cos it was Grams' birthday!!! Well, we celebrated in advance~ ^_^What a spread did we have! Whew! Let's count: 2 roast chickens, a trayful of salad, 200 satays, mee goreng, 2 veg dishes, fried sotong & fishballs & hei3 zor4(the shrimp thingy), friend chicken wings, friend prawns, and homemade qing chao water. Phew!!! We were all bloated. I made the roast chickens!!! With my mom's help and the 2 maids no doubt. ^.^ Was really happy with the results this time. The 2 chicken were marinated overnight so they tasted way better than the 1st time(which was marinated for 3hrs only). We've put enough black peppercorn man! Woop! And at first I thought 2 roast chicken was WAY too much, cos I knew beforehand how many dishes we were gonna have.. Plus there were potatoes in the roast chicken dish. I was worried, to be honest. But when I saw how my family cleaned the whole pot, I was feeling a surge of deep satisfaction. And we had a homely entertainment by Yi Jie and Yi Hui. Yi Jie Kor Kor was on harmonica and Yi Hui was on guitar. They brought to us 2 songs: "Bangawang Solo" and "Yesterday". Plus "Happy Birthday" for Grams. Nice combination seriously! ^_^ =D =)And the cake we ordered for Grams was the one I had for my b-day just abt a mth ago. Just that this time it was 2 kg... Chocolate moose cake. Mmmmmmm moist~~~~ We took photos no doubt... And we chatted no doubt. It was wonderful family gathering! And I had to watch a lil of 'Return to Haloweentown High' on Disney.Of cos there would e some probs here and there... I can't say much. I could only say 家家有本难念的经.
