The sensation was great! That's my resolution after a whole day's lecture. Probably cos it's e first day, so it's kinda relaxed. The teachers dun make Lectures lectures. They turned Lectures into Fun-Learning, hands-on activities. There were alot of laughing, clapping, moving around in the class, and it was cold! Hehe... Lucky I brought my jacket, but only used it for the IT Lesson, cos my hands were freezing. Child Dev Lectures were fun, whether if it's 1.1 or 1.2.
In 1.2, we spent like an hr or so playing games to know about one another, then the next hr or so we went thru notes with the teacher, Mrs Ching. We're suppose to move around in the classroom for the games, and we had alot of fun juz trying to do so. It isnt like Sec Sch, Mrs Ching allows us to doze off for abt 5-10 mins if we're really exhausted. She believes that the short time of dozing off(no snoring) can really helps the mind and brain to function well again afer awakening from the small nap in class. All the rules are abt the same in Sec Sch, juz no uniforms! :) But attendance will still be marked...Well, that is to prevent us from missing any of the lessons - Be it Tutorial or Lectures or Practical...
Then in 1.1, it wasn't lecture at all, it was more of like Story-time! Cos the teacher, Mrs Sukuna she's experienced, so she shared with us alot of interesting stories on Childcare, and she made them so interesting with her facial expressions and her actions that we're all laughting most of the time. Haha, and each time when she thinks we're dozing off, she'll humour us with another story... She seems to have ample of them, and reacdh and every one of them could make us all laugh till our cheeks hurt(i know mine did, and tears were in my eyes too!), and then our attention shil be focused back on whatever she's teaching. Time pass pretty quickly, though i gotta admit, i did look at my watch several times. She let us off 1/2 hr earlier, cos she said the max hr she teaches a class is 2 and a 1/2 hr, nt 3.. We're like sooooo Happy!!! ^_^
Our h.w, read up the notes that they printed us for us and understand them. At the end of the notes, there's this checklist sort of thing which we'll see if we really understood what the notes are trying to say. :) Kool eh? And in NP, they're nurturing IT-based students, nt juz book-based. So some of the assignments and note will be online, then we'll hav to log in and download them and print them out and bring for the next lecture. Fun, at least we're trained to be independent and nt expecting any spoon-feding from the lecturers.
And I became the Rep for the Module: Child Development... OMG! And I'm expected to take the attendance. I do know of their names, but we're mixing with other classes as well, it's gonna b hard...Bottomline: 1st day of sch is fun, and I noted that i need to bring more tissue paper to sch. Juz from walking from a place to another, I can sweat like hell.... Gosh!!! Haha, well, it's a BIG Campus afterall. ;) TTFN. TC!
