Yesterday was one day which i'd spent with my Uncle @ Esplanade Teahouse... He was interviewing some candidates for the job on "Sales/Marketing Assistant". 4 came... 3 males and 1 female. 3 males all aren't wad my Uncle is looking for. As for the female, she's over qualified! Man... trust me when I sais she's over-qualified. She holds a cert on Business Studies, a dip in Business Administration, she had worked at least in 5 companies, and mainly, doing admin stuffs. She had all sorts of certificates, ranging from Primary to O'lvls, to ITE, to Poly, to the resumes written by her ex-bosses. She also attended workshop on Microsoft Excel and Words... all those very advance kinds. -.- And we're looking for Sales/Marketing Assistant... U think she's over qualified? But she's asking for at leat a 15 hundred kind of salary...Then my Uncle yesterday taught me something new... Having qualification is one thing, learning how to use watever u'd learnt is another. So he consulted i think other shareholders... or maybe my aunt. He's abit unwilling to pay her 1500 juz to let her learn... -.- It IS abit too much for juz learning.Then we talked about Poly Life... I wanna enter Poly afterall... He told me that in Poly, it's very different from Sec Sch and Pri Sch Life... While studying, you must "Study with Intelligence, Not Knowledge".Those in Poly, or going poly de, Hope this phrase helps you while studying. :) He also taught me something about Kan4 Xiang4。He said this is very similar to studying and doing business. Cos everything is InTeR-LiNkEd. All these can be different at a certain standard, but afterall they're all Wan4 Bian4 Bu4 Li2 Qi2 Zhong1.
Teach u guys something... He taught me from this bk called Zha2 Fei1 Pian1。There are a total of 6-Steps:1.Qiao1("knocking", "wishes". How to get imparch/interact with ppl. Buil up relationships btw ppl and lead them to the topic.)2.Da3(counter-asking after answering. Da3 She2 Sui2 Gun4 Shang4.)3.Shen3(asking them wat they want. Fire qns to find out abt what they're looking for.)4.Qian1("play a trick", "cheating", "cornering" to get wat u want eventually.)5.Long2(compliments)6.Mai4("sell". Wait for the right time, the right target then KILL! Sell watever you wanna sell at the fastest time and using the most efficient way. When it's time to Sell, Do Sell. But when it's time to stop selling, do it.)Of cos, this is nt to tell u to and "xian" the examiner. It's juz a guide while doing business or durning negociation or debate. These are skills ok? During studying, he said it's also the same... DON'T become another computer, keep on memorising and memorising... cos often wat u memorise will nt b asked during exams. The trick is to study smart. If you keep on memorising and dun know how to throw back out(Shen3), then at the time of exams, you'll simply get a JAM up there... *points to head*. Get what I'm trying to convey here?
